I agree with Ebbywebby. It's quite gorgeous to look at and fairly thrilling, but the dialogue, music, and story are very weak and don't measure up to the technical brilliance of this Cuaron spectacle.

I went to watch the 3D experience, it didn`t dissapoint me but the rest of the movie was a little bit poor.

Love it or hate it, you cannot ignore it. To me, this is a pathbreaking movie so far as 3D movies go. Comes closest (yet) to defining how well 3D (and IMAX), as a technology, could/should be used. Agreed that the storyline is not as intricate to be termed as magnificent and we do encounter clichés along the course of the movie. However, it didn't come across to be a pretentious attempt and most certainly didn't seem to use technology just for the heck of it. Another good movie from Alfonso Cuarón (following Y Tu Mamá También and Children of Men). A visual treat.

A unique experience that you've never been able to feel before. Almost unbearable in its intensity. Technically mindblowing on so many levels you can't even begin to imagine. An aesthetic beauty that gets rivaled by none.

If you can't appreciate any of this, or feel it's "overrated" by people who do, simply because the story is 'too simple', or the presence of what you perceive to be logical fallacies: you are everything that's wrong with modern audiences.

The best 3D movie I've ever seen.
Simple plot.

Technically superb and it captures the atmosphere in outer space but the story is slight and the human interest marginal . At times it seems more like a Discover Channel documentary with superior production values than a feature film, though I must commend some expertly choreographed scenes and the conspicuous absence of the ubiquitous rapid fire editing that plagues modern action movies.

Technically well-done, even the 3D which nevertheless remains unnecessary. Basically, an indie echo of Avatar; Over-the-top symbolism flying off the screen through dumb characters, silly writing and unimaginative use of space. Literally. Praise-worthy for getting any praise at all. An empty trick trying to con us into believing Bollocks can act and isn't actually a teenage boy (in need of a beating) annoying the shit out of me. Points for exterior (if that term applies in space) visuals only. Otherwise, flat as Bollocks' ass.

Gravity is a cinematic experience I will not forget. Up there with the best moments I have had in cinema. A beautiful film about rebirth.

Saw it in 3D IMAX, biggest screen in the country. Technically mindblowing fusion of cinematography, 3D and VFX, all other films this year should just step aside. Plot and dialogue are minimal but the spectacle and detail is extraordinary. 7.5/10
