I'd be into a sequel. Sure the dialog isn't reflective of the time, and the acting is a bit tongue in cheek, but it's an honest effort at a modern western. Gimme more.
Worst western and 3rd worst film, minimal week plot and characters never got to develop, score was mimic of Once Upon a time in the West. Excellent opening title scene though. Check out Brimstone for better vergence
Could have been better. He tried for the whole Spaghetti Western revenge killing thing, but put the back story a half of the movie. Spaghetti Western's usually work by having an amoral character change sides several times while trying to work out a singular goal that transcends all of the betrayals (money, revenge, etc). The "hero" in a SW usually benefits from not having an overly developed reason for his revenge or delving into his past. On this level the SW format is a lot like the hardboiled detective format of the 30s and 40s.
I'm a big Ti West fan, but the slow burn approach doesn't work for this genre. It was OK.
