Engaging. Good running time. Clever backplot with the whole JFK story. Could have done without the Grandpa love interest though...

Malkovich on a par with Hopkins and Spacey in terms of playing the 'intelligent' adversary, which is a little cliched nowadays.

Somewhat disappointingly cliché ending, but apart from that this was brilliant. Thrilling and action packed punctuated by brilliant performances from Malkovich and Eastwood. Apart from the flirting parts. They were terrible.

Also the scene in which Eastwood's character comes right inches away from Malkovich's character. Very good.

A respectable thriller with Eastwood. Pushes the suspension of belief a little too far for me though because it's hard to believe that the White House would put someone of Clint's age and vulnerabilities in such an important position. Then it transforms into a movie about getting on in years and Malkovich becoming almost the devil on Clint's shoulder.
