    Most third movies made in a trilogy suffer from losing the magic that was created from the beginning of the series. Last Crusade is a different flavor of Indiana Jones, it isn't quite as serious as Raiders and certainly not as dark as Doom. Sean Connery elevates the film to the next level and Indy getting upstaged by his father explored new aspects of the character. Overall the film knows exactly what it wants and needs to be, a good amount of action, a peek into the life of Jones through the inclusion of his father, and the perfect literal ride into the sunset. It almost makes making a fourth movie a travesty really. 6 years ago
