Great, crazy premise, but awful execution. Harryhausen's work is good (not his best), and there isn't enough of it.few visible scars
A big disappointment for those watching to see some Ray Harryhausen - I gather he was on a very restricted budget (as Phil puts it - not his best - but entertaining.The most refreshing thing - (now to agree with Camillae- ) I loved they way she rejected his proposal of stay how and have babies .. it would be a spoiler to say what her counter proposal involved ...

I must say that the character of prof. Lesley Joyce is one of the best I have ever seen in horror movies of the 50's.Also in a way I prefer this movie to Gojira (1954).
