A bit dark. But oh so beautiful.
in the closing 45 minutes or so, the film brazenly abandoned all of the cutesy sentiment bestirred from the opening childhood scenes instead opting for a rather twisted conclusion. not sure i liked how it went.
---side note, i was surprised that of all the 'la vie en rose' covers the movie utilizes, they most often went back to louis armstrong's english version, i guess there is just something about that voice!
I was listening to la vie en rose for a few days after i watched this film! It was so romantic and so passionate :)
to see which of your friends have seen this movie!
