This feature-length documentary is included on the Planes Trains and Automobiles Blu-ray and is shown in two parts. It's a great tribute (Hughes died in 2009), featuring an archive interview with John Hughes from 1986 (Kevin Bacon was actually interviewing him, but Kevin is not seen in this documentary), talking about his writing process and how he got started. Also interviewed are those that have worked with him, including Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck, Jon Cryer, Lea Thompson, as well as producers, directors and others. Notably missing from this documentary are Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall, which is a shame, since they were both there for his first movies he directed and early one he wrote (National Lampoon's Vacation). 3 years 4 months ago
