The Hunchedback Horse (1947)

The second Soviet animated feature is about a peasant boy Ivan and his magical humpbacked horse who run errands for a local Tsar.

Rewatching it years later, I wonder what was the boy's incentive to cater to tzar's needs. It didn't seem like he was so crazy about protecting the horses, plus he wasn't under guard all the time: just leave and travel someplace, superhero pony and all!
Actually he was kind of an asshole, kidnapping birds and girls on tzar's orders.

As far as I know the original version hasn't been subbed yet, but the remake is available with English subtitles.
