It is refreshing to see a film where '' not particularly beautiful '' actors got a chance to shine.
In terms of world-building and atmosphere creation, better than anything Nolan or Burton ever did. I found the story a little murky (the fact that the film's in French probably affected that judgement.
Bizarre and absolutely terrific. After watching this and Delicatessen, I've found that Dominique Pinon is definitely one of my favourite actors and that France has some of the best films in the world.
