Watch it if not for plot or character then the action which is extremely well-done and goes to show that The West is still nowhere near Woo. Shaky cam, fast editing and glossy cinematography may fool you, but it will never touch this kind of pure, meticulously choreographed, cinematic splendor. Saying anymore would automatically spoil awesome "Hell no... FUCK YEAH!"-moments

John Woo should write a thesis on the value of human life in action films.

So boring. I guess I am just not the right audience for this type of film.

The last 40 minute long shootout..yeah, you read right...is pure adrenaline. Action doesn't get better than this.

Excellent choreography, and some extremely memorable scenes and behaviors by the main cast. This movie makes you fall in love with both the heroes and the villains! Full throttle action scenes throughout the whole movie!

John Woo's Hard Boiled is an exhausting action movie - you feel you're consistently in the climax - and even John Woo admits its action pieces are too long, but it's pretty cool nonetheless. Though Chow Yun Fat is nominally the star, Tony Leung (one of my favorite actors of all time) steals the show, just as total badass
