So many things in this film don't make any sense at all... Maybe if it had been set in a period before Internet, email, Whatsapp, etc, then it would be a bit more believable... A young woman flies all the way to Sicily to spend some days with her boyfriend, but he's not there to meet her, so she "waits" for him for many days at his place keeping his mother company... And of course there's the elephant in the room that would have been impossible to keep from her in such a small Italian village where everybody knows everybody else... They say it's based on a play by Luigi Pirandello, I say that's rubbish. Only the main premise of a mother waiting for her son in Sicily is similar, the rest of the plot is completely different. 8 months 1 week ago
