i wanna fart all over whoever made this movie 6 years 5 months ago
Interesting movie, very intense and partly a bit sick, but that was kind of necessary for the storyline. Deals with fascinating topics such as the failing of the judicial system, things that normal people are capable of if something terrible happens to them...
Gerard Butler was amazing. He impersonated the main character with so much sadness, anger and vengefulness - makes the audience scared of him and feel sympathy with him at the same time. But I also especially appreciated the scenes in the beginning when he is in such pain over what happened to his family and slowly realizes that the worst of the criminals is not going to be punished for what he did.
There are some ugly truths about court, lawyers and the system in general, some nice plot twists and great conversations. 6 years 5 months ago
Lot of suspense, I was captivated.
For the guy saying it's ironic & stupid Fox doesn't use the legal system to punish the guy, it's because he knows the system is broken. He puts down an offer, the same way Butler did. I agree the ending wasn't perfect and could've been better, but by now way did it f*ck up the entire movie as many claim.
Second of all. As someone already mentionned, the property was hidden and could only be found because of illegal tracking of international back transactions. Again, Fox had to break the rules to let justice prevail.
My question: the military machine gun with huge kaliber, should've been trackable I think. I'm not very familiar with how easy one might obtain, but I think they should be able to see who could've bought it.
7/10 (7.5 if the ending would've been differently) 7 years 9 months ago
