Another simple, beautiful and powerful film by the Dardennes Brothers.

Amazingly realistic realism. They even managed to sneak Olivier Gourmet into this one as well, just as a cute gesture.

Reminiscent of italian neo-realism, a very honest, minimalistic, nevertheless powerful and emotional narrative. The acting is amazing.

Wow, this is only 87 minutes but it really put me through the emotional wringer. I love the Dardenne brothers, and this is their best film since the The Son, in my opinion.

Very good. I think the ending could have been better. Not a comedy as described

Beautifully done - with a powerful committed performance from newcomer Thomas Doret and a finely nuanced emotionally truthful performance from the lovely Cecile de France. It's easy to forget how hard it is to make a film appear effortlessly naturalistic - the Dardenne Brothers manage it. I was engrossed in Cyril's story from the start and was never less than emotionally involved with his story. Terrific.

this year's best foreign film category is so well stacked with such great movies. This is another classic. Especially liked the last 20-odd minutes of the movie, with Cecile and Thomas Doret bonding and things leading up to him deciding to move on with his life. Very good movie. First one for me from the Dardenne brothers, but I am going to catch some more movies from them.

While despising most of the characters for their weaknesses I really enjoyed the film. Yes, it should be awarded in some way.

"Pitbull" is the nickname given to Thomas Doret's role, but it also fits perfectly to define his acting. The boy is amazing, a powerful force of nature.

Very emotional movie, one of the best of the brothers Dardenne, but in my opinion L'enfant is still their strongest movie.

A film like this deserves to be in a list.
