good -- clearly meant to get people talking about what the various characters do, the positions they take, especially the ending. Could have benefitted from tighter writing but a worthwhile watch if one is looking for a suspenseful drama about street life

Very dark, very brutal, very powerful visit with the bottom of the societal barrel. I wouldn't watch it twice, but I can't deny its power. 7/10

Powerful stuff, very difficult to watch. A couple of average performances and a couple of brilliant ones. Figured out the ending about 40 minutes into the film but it didn't make it any less exhilarating.

Look at the cover: "The best british film of the century"...WTF??

That's more like the biggest overstatement of the century. It's nothing special at all, really. And low-budget.
