Nothing is wasted. Every little bit builds up to something. It's amazing how the strong characters evolve from the first to the last season. Nothing is obvious. A must see.
Plot and character were interesting until season 5. Season 5 just fucking tanked. Got tired of the constant cheating just to add some meaningless sex scenes. Sex scenes that aren't even all that fantastic at that... Don Draper gets extremely fucking boring, and it's frustrating after a while, especially since the show centers around him. Hopefully the final season brings it back up from the dump.
