We get to know and truly love not only the main character but his entire family, including mother and father, so much so that when the Mafia GodFathers steal into his life, we truly feel just as cornered as he does. I really enjoyed this film. I suppose my Italian heritage is to blame.
Drama, Social satire, erotic comedy and mafia thriller. The film in the style of Neo-realism is a portrait of the connection of the big capital in the north with the dirty work in the south, Sicily. It feels like a good dream turning bad and can cause a lot of anxiety and makes it very relevant today. Highly recommended.
