I was surprised at how bad Garbo danced! I can't believe the director wanted her to look so stiff and uncoordinated. I have to believe that particular style of dancing was very foreign to Garbo and so she felt -and looked - awkward. Either way, the fact that all the men in the picture gush over her dancing made the whole scene unbelievable to me. Still, it's Garbo...the rest of the movie is typical Garbo gorgeousness! 11 years 6 months ago
