Very melodramatic but that somehow still contributes to it being a good film nevertheless, also people like Veda is the reason I have an anger mangement problem
A little too melodramatic for my tastes, but still an excellent noir with an interesting narrative structure that, just like the underlying themes of feminism and consumerism, feels well ahead of its time.
Pretty good, but I felt the flashback of the movie had too long periods with nothing interesting happening. This has way more drama and romance than mystery...

One vote for blowing up Veda with dynamite, right here.Amy Adams
Ida was right about Veda: "Personally, Veda's convinced me that alligators have the right idea. They eat their young."V012

I thought the comments were exaggerating but jesus christ Veda was a cold blooded monster lolmaladjustedmusician
A fascinating, sizzling noir. Ann Blythe is so deliciously evil, and Joan Crawford so wonderfully sympathetic. A must watch!Miona
Naive and predictable, especially the end.Nevertheless, Joan Crawford is great.

I agree with Veda. It's partially Mildred's fault too that Veda ended up like that. And I find Ida and Wally's characters wonderful..
