Wish it could be easily known what events were staged or enriched. The cargo cult ending is fantastic and fervently atheistic. But it's a bit disheartening to know the lack of honesty in some of the film. 8 years 3 months ago -

I have to say i was a little disappointed as this film has quite a reputation. There was some violence and gore but it was no more “shocking” than some of the documentaries I’ve seen on the National Geographic channel or Discovery....perhaps to someone in 1962 it would have been. Nevertheless it is well done, even if, as some have pointed out, some of it was staged. I found the scene with the sea turtle very moving 2 years 7 months ago
