Amazing film, brilliantly conceived, brilliantly directed. The acting is top notch as always with Lumet. The social commentary is not too heavy and is as true today as it was 41 years ago.
A movie that borders on the ridiculous but is never stretched. The story of losing humanity and love to the idiot box is shown in this movie. The movie's truth still shines. We are slaves to the gods of the market place and if the gods aren't happy then people die.
Brilliant and thought provoking satire on the media and how televison has changed our soceity and the way we view the world. Fantastic screenplay and performances, as well as some of the best monologs you will probaly ever hear in a movie.
Without a doubt one of the best and most important films of the 70's
Sidney Lumet's excellent satire of the television generation. Scriptwriter Paddy Chayefsky was veritably prescient, because most of the film's absurdities have actually happened since.
