We have all turned into virus experts after covid-19, so we can evaluate the scientific quality of the movie with our newly attained knowledge (though this virus is different from ours). We can also put aside the classical hollywood action movie stuff of the nineties. but after covid-19 the movie has gained a new quality itself. So it's terrifyingly relevant and real now.
It may be the nostalgia talking, though I really quite enjoyed this. It seemed rather solid and well-paced until the halfway mark or so, then it descended down the cliché rope ladder of Hollywood's well of innovation.
A perfectly solid end-of-the-world blockbuster, where One Man fights against the system. Some of the characters are too stupid for words, leading to laugh-out-loud moments as they end up covered in virus blood. Special mention goes to some very impressive helicopter stunts and flying. Don't expect too much and you will enjoy yourself.
Watched it for the second time when it reached one of the popular rankings on Netflix... for obvious reasons. It's definitely got a bad case of cliche fever. I think the first half of the movie is more interesting and put together. Once it becomes less about the contagion and more about governmental incompetence it shifts focus dramatically. I guess kind of understandable though, after you've exhausted the drama and excitement of the outbreak spreading then it had to pursue a different avenue in order to remain viable.
This movie is corny as hell and doesn’t know if it wants to be a drama, an action film, or a comedy. You can see why it happened though. Post-Waco, pre-9/11, pre-SARS/H1N1/rona etc. Very much a product of its time.

Movie is ok.torkoal
Horribly clichéed, bad dialogue, no chemistry between the main characters and a bad soundtrack to boot. Yuck.
