Just like the similarly directed Deepwater Horizon, I incorrectly assumed (with both movies) it would be a blatant "Go, America!" overly patriotic movie, but it was really well put together and detailed the events really well. As someone who is just outside of Boston, I remember listening to police scanners after the event and then the day the National Guard came in, the police scanners all went quiet. It was pretty cool to watch this film go over those events.

It was better than I anticipated. I felt there were a few times that they forced in a joke or a one-liner to make it more, I dunno, audience friendly? It also was a little ridiculous how spoiler Overall, a very emotional movie and I think they did a very good job of portraying the events and what the victims went through.

After seeing the trailer I was expecting an america first gung ho movie but this was actually really really good. Well acted and directed, tense and earnest with respect to the victims. Very well done and a great movie

Interesting film... a good movie...
BUT, as a UK citizen who was caught up in a terrorist incident in the UK and has seen a response at first hand, it showed a disorganised and ill prepared response. It was luck, bravery and vigilance of members of the public who did the work.

Also, there is nothing special about "BOSTON STRONG". This is the HUMAN SPIRIT at work, it is pretty much the same everywhere similar incidents occur. People all over the world are, in the main, strong, resilient, caring and supportive.

RIP to the victims and thoughts to all those affected.
