I recently found the DVD in a charity shop for £2 - or, rather, it found me...I was looking at bric-a-brac, and suddenly, there was the DVD staring at me, from the wrong shelf where someone had abandoned it...we were fated and I could not resist - and I have just watched it again for the first time in several years.
It has long been in my top 10 or 20, but the latest viewing may propel it into my top 5.
Dialogue, cinematography, direction, a host of characters who are just so relateable and not your usual Hollywood story and ending...for me, it really is perfection and I am not usually so saccharine about these things.
A box of tissue to hand is a definite requirement whilst viewing.

Cary Grant's courting in the begining of the movie must be one of the most adorable things I've ever seen.CynInFlicks

6+/10Classic on 1 official film top list. 7.1 / 10 is the audience average rating though. Somewhat slow in my taste.
