So many memorable quotes on this one! may be not a great movie at all but at least a new cult movie.

"you just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos motherfuckaaa!"

First hour was awesome! I almost wet my pants because of the foot-stuck-in-frontscreen-scene...
But after that, the funparts got a bit to lame....

Genuinely funny, made me laugh out loud a couple of times. I enjoyed the chemistry between Franco and Rogan. Maybe a bit long, didn't keep me interested the entire time. But, you know. It was a good comedy with some soul. And I like that. Pumped for This is the End, right now!

As Pineapple Express begins, the 1940s marijuana experiment and Seth Rogan's process-serving montage both have promise, but then the movie completely forgets the former and doesn't really pay off the latter, becoming an exercise in Rogan and Franco enjoying smoking up for the camera. The pace evidently calibrated by someone with a body high, the film is interminable, filled with dull improvised conversations and people gratingly shouting at each other. Nothing happens for the longest time, and the villains aren't any more active (and why NOT connect them to the 1940s sequence?!). By the time the action plot elements strike, they seem out of place, bantering cartoon characters overlaid with a buzz-killing bloody massacre. It's just noise and I checked out FAST. Normally, while I don't enjoy stoner humor, I like Seth Rogan's movies because they have a lot of heart. In this case, I couldn't get behind the bogus friendships or the objectionable romantic relationship between him and a high school student. Now maybe if An extremely annoying film.

Had a great laugh the first time I watched it in the cinema with friends, but watching it on dvd I just didn't laugh at all and really failed to see what I liked about it the first time around. Must have been in a really, really good mood.
