All these years and I've never seen a spoiler scene for Psycho, except for the famous one. This move is a must watch for sure, you'll love it!

Anthony Perkins’s ability to evoke empathy and terror with his Norman Bates always disarms me. I’ve seen this countless times and I’m always surprised at how compelling this character is.

One of the greatest movies ever by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock! Antony Perkins' expressivity is simply incredible and created creepy legendary scenes!

Nice movie, even tho the expected spoilers for a classic old movie kinda ruined the plot twist. Only slept in a few scenes and could finish it in one sitting!

Just saw it for the first time. Being disappointed by several high-rated old movies, didn't expect too much from it. However, this one was completely different and quite engrossing. Instantly became a fan of Perkins.

The star of the show is both Hitchcock in the director's chair and Perkins playing the clean cut yet overwhelmingly creepy Norman Bates. If you watch every scene with Bates in it and pay close attention you can nearly feel the power of the acting with the end of the movie cementing it in your mind forever. Don't be afraid, he won't even harm that fly.

If Vertigo is Hitchcock at his most artistic, in Psycho, he is at his most iconic. I hadn't seen it in decades, so it managed to surprise me all over again. With its technical mastery. With its intriguing shots. With its bold breaking of the rules of screenwriting. With Janet Leigh's intense performance. I don't think I'll be spoiling anyone after 55 years - duly warned anyway - but the reason the shift in protagonists works is because Janet Leigh's character actually completes her arc in the time she's allowed (which is a lot more than you remember anyway), and that she acts as a distorted mirror of Norman Bates, a soul fighting against itself and wracked with guilt. And both fall prey to the same overwhelming, monstrous entity.

Anthony Perkins was perfect in this. Also, busty Janet Leigh in her bra on the theatrical poster must have a pretty big scandal at the time. One of my favorite Hitchcock films as well as one of my favorite horror films of all time. It's still manages to scare 55 years later.

Norman Bates surely has a disturbed personality, this film is really terrifying compared to the horror/suspense films that we have today.

I think for anyone born after the 80’s, watching black and white movies isn’t that obvious. I grew up in the nineties so I can safely say that my generation, and those that follow, are used to gore and special effects.
Psycho was made in 1960. The horror is demure and consists mostly of images that speak to the mind. The tension is strong in the scenes and the dialogue is amazing.

It may be old and a bit outdated, but it’s still a goddamn good movie. Masterpiece and a must see!

Ahhhh! One of my favorite movies of all time! Shocking movie for the 60's but clearly Hitchcock did not care about what the critics had to say! Love it, love it, love it!

Great. Almost perfect movie. Hitchcock is known as the Master of Suspense and we can see why in Psycho. Great directing, great acting and iconic soundtrack.

Oh I really tried to like this. I didn't. (note: I somehow maneged to watch this with zero spoilers.)
It was predictable to the point I thought the "twist" was a red herring. The spoiler scene is an insult to the viewers. Maybe this sort of plot twist wasn't common before and if that's the case it can be forgiven. That doesn't make it easier to watch now.
