Eddyspeeder
The first 10 minutes are mesmerizing. What I thought really stood out was the phone call between Adam Sandler and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Both of them display such a different side of themselves, even though they often play a particular role (Sandler the silly immature, Hoffman the obnoxious sweaty dude). Some shots seem rather convulsive, but those just emphasize how dissociative the other scenes are. A worthy follow-up project to Magnolia! 12 years 4 months ago -
