It shares some elements with "3 idiots" (for instance the casting and the strange combination of "playboy" behaviour with "I'm a serious adult" behaviour), but it's really poorly executed. A couple of moments are good, though.PaleoSteno

Put your brain into neutral for this one, it's about as subtle as a sledgehammer. It certainly seems to have been written by one.There must be one hell of an extended family attached to the production of this film because that's the only reason it's gotten 10-star votes to get it in the top 250. I'm surprised more people haven't 1-star voted it to get rid of it, it genuinely is a film that inspires that sort of resentment.

I actually liked this movie.Anyway, in addition to the interesting topic there are some visually interesting scenes and I loved the chemistry among this group of friends.

I rarely feel the need to write a comment on this site, but I feel that this movie warrants one. You might not be convinced by TheMajor's, Kasparius' and monty's comments (to name a few), but after watching the movie you will understand how soul crushingly true their words are.The last hour of this movie felt like an eternity of roundhouse kicks to the groin. I don't know what was worse; the acting, the clichéed and meaningless dialogs, the idiotic plot or the fact that it lasted 157 minutes more than it should have.
The fact that this is a terrible movie is in itself not an issue, the issue is that this movie is currently sitting at #147 on the Top250 list with a rating of 8.6, with 44.4% of the voters (clearly insane or on some heavy medication) giving it a 10/10. Please sort yourself out!
Rant over, TLDR: Only watch this movie if you are forced to at gunpoint.

Started off really slow and draggy, and got a bit cliched with the excessive montages, but by the end I was quite drawn in and got quite emotional.imDaaana

Can I just assume that this is another overrated Bollywood flick with the same tired formula and mediocre execution and check it off? I'm guessing by most of the other comments, I can. Seriously... Bollywood fans... stop with the overrating!Anyway... watching now. We'll see.
Edit: Sure enough... made it as far as the first musical number... moving on to the next of this lot on the 2000's list. Hoping for a surprise in there somewhere, but not holding my breath.
