“Return to Me” is easily one of the more underrated romantic comedies out there. As it managed to slip beneath the radar of most, it was unfortunately the talented Bonnie Hunt’s only major go as a Film Director (She’s done only a few TV movies since). And this is also David Duchovny’s most rewarding shot at leading man on the big screen.
Though not a perfect film by any stretch, (there’s more than a few clumsy moments here), it’s a deeply warm and heartfelt one. We get strong, witty writing. A host of endearing characters performed by a collection of great talent. And a romance whose conflicts come out of a genuine situation, rather than contrived conflict. So if you like a good romantic comedy, or just good movies in general, you can’t go wrong here. 4 years 5 months ago -

Besides the enjoyable and warm story line... (read romantic) the movie is worth watching just to see Carrol O'Connor in a movie once more. That and the GREAT music score from classic singers, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, et al. 12 years 3 months ago
