Not as good as expected, mostly it's a tedious build up to the inevitable running implied in the title. Unsurprisingly, the marathon is the most rewarding part of the movie.
Dylan Moran is great but very underused and near invisible. Simon Pegg tries his best but it feels like everything is running on fumes, no pun intended. Even Hank Azaria snoozes it home. Don't miss the smoking hot India de Beaufort in a minimal supporting role.
A pleasant little romantic comedy/sports movie with the always pleasant Thandie Newton and the equally engaging Simon Pegg, co-written by the latter for the Brit vibe I like so much.
Nowhere near as bad as expected.
I actually really liked it, but I would have loved it if it weren't for the rival boyfriend (Whit? Witt?).
The rivalry gave me flashbacks to Mrs Doubtfire (although he was a nice guy), but Whit was such an annoying prick. Hank did a good job, but there's only so many "I'm a better partner/father/man than you" moments that I can take.
Still, I liked it. It had its funny moments, but it was great as a drama. It was very sweet, the character development was well done, and the kid was adorable.

I'd probably watch it again.
