the first film in this duology (so far) is a complete miss, so the talented soska sisters are trying to spin gold with turds as it were. as much as they (and, admittedly, i) adore the wwe and kane, there is just not enough substance here to take wwe studios from cash-in to competitor. worth a watch to see the fresh look of 'american mary' (2012) lent to a semi-mainstream vehicle, and some competent acting from danielle harris, katharine isabelle (a true gem), and michael ecklund. 9 years 5 months ago -

I thought this was slightly better than the first one but a disappointment considering how good the Soskas' American Mary was. It tries to do something different by switching the sexes of a few of the standard slasher stereotypes, but the script is so generic in the first place, and lacks any sense of thought or logic, that it doesn't help much. 9 years 6 months ago -
