until Adele started singing it was good action, after that it all fell apart, boring and predictable and explosions. Naomie Harris worst miscast ever?

One of the best bondfilms. Best cinematography on a bond ever. Liked the fact that a lot of the battles were fought on homeground.

This is a terrific Bond movie. Serious (same mode as Casino Royale), but still with lighter moments, great cast, good action (although not too much). Story comes full circle. The climax could be a bit thighter and stronger, missed a real showdown between bond and the villian. But overall really fun and good Bond movie.

Really looking forward to the next one :-) I think i'll be back in the cinema soon for a second watch!. Also great fun to catch the many references to the older movies. Missed the cameo by Michael G. Wilson.......have too watch it again.

Major improvement over the dissapointing QOS.

But one annoying thing........the gunbarrel scene MUST BE BACK AT THE START......not the end.

Hmm. Why do people even go to the movies...they seem to hate everything and then they have to comment about it on the internet. I enjoyed this film. Not as good as the first 3 original Connery's but pretty damn good.

After the major misstep that was Quantum, Skyfall is a return to form that we had been awaiting since Craig's first performance wrapped up. Javier Bardem elevates the film to an incredible level and I think securely sits atop the mountain for best villain in the Craig era (although Le Chiffre is right there too). Don't get me wrong, Waltz was good as Blofeld but the writing and tone of the next film really held him back from being extraordinary. The action and emotion of each scene hits home and it's visible that great care was taken with this one.

This concept is probably the most interesting in any Bond so far, and until the first hour and a half I thought it was the most fun Bond altogether. Then everything drowned in pointless explosions, gun-fights, chases, etc. I mean, I'm all for pointless action and stunts, but do we have to screw up a good plot with one whole hour of actionsploitation? Idk.

Also, this hacker-boy teaches the old action hero about logging in on Twitter thing is getting kinda worn out (see Die Hard, F&F, etc.)

A good action film but doesn't really feel like a Bond to me.

Everything was just as expected and there were nothing new. I think they should use some innovation in this series of movie! The casino royal was quite better. But as a movie, it wasn't bad.

Quite good and enjoyable, but certainly not among the best Bond movies! Good directing by Mendes, great cinematography, but I just can't get around the silly elements (even for Bond) of the script. Casino royale and QoS seemed to steer away from that a bit, but here's just too many improbable moments and the movie doesn't even try to show us a few bits of crazy rescuing, that would be fun to watch. spoiler The Bond's relationship with girls is one of the less developed in a Bond movie for a long time (which isn't necessarily bad!) Bardem was a good villain but it seems that he could be even more convincing in that role, we've all seen him act even better. It's hard to make a miracle role out of a faulty script, tho... Too much borrowed elements from older Bond movies (even for a 50th anniversary), or maybe just not placed well enough. Still, as almost every movie in the franchise, this one too has a lot to love, the scenes before the opening, animated opening, nice scenery in Scotland, a lot of computer hacking and the action scenes are mostly well done. Probably better than Quantum and worse than Casino royale.

The least appealing Craig Bond to date. Awful dialogue filled with lame repartee and obnoxious references to other Bond films. spoiler

On the positive side a truly evocative and authentic Bond song and title sequence. An exquisitely damaged (mentally and physically) antagonist thanks to Javier Bardem. Sam Mendes does his best with a script that still needed a lot of rewriting, making it look appealing by glossing over the imperfections.

Essentially it is a combination of OHMSS's cringe worthiness, Goldeneye's basic plot and a dash of Home Alone.

It's a shame they didn't continue with what Quantum of Solace spent so much effort to set up. I assume this is because it was not well received by audiences despite being a perfectly good film, and not just for a Bond film. It's a lot better than this forgetful frivolity. I can see why the mainstream dolts didn't care for QoS but to scrap what was to be the 21st century SPECTRE to appease the chuckleheads seems like abhorrently wasteful pandering.

Everyone raved about Goldeneye on release but watch it now and it's more dated than the originals. Time will put this insipid debacle in its place too. Is no one else tired of the self aware saturation in cinema now? Did we really need a meta Bond?

Please note that I have not 'disliked' this film or any other Bond. I am still a devoted fan but every so often there is that Bond film that just does not do justice to the greats.

Watched all the Bonds this year, and I reckon this one is the best ever. Love it.

Although my top 5 include Moonraker and Die Another Day, so if you're a die-hard Bond fan you probably won't want to take my word for it.
