OK, not more. Interesting when you read about it.
IMDb: "A short film in which a motorcyclist starts by riding down a road and ends up riding on the rings of Saturn." - WTF?? Someone was stoned when they wrote this or approved this as a plot. Where the hell is the motorcycle? And Saturn?

No, no, this is right:
"Film material is subjected to biochemical processes by burying it in the garden, storing it in a pond, or overheating it. The results of these natural processes of decay or aging are then copied back onto film and thus conserved in the state of their dissolution. In "Stadt in Flammen" the scenes melt due to overheating, producing an infernal image impression of disappearance. The images no longer show a figuratively represented scene, but rather its dissolution as a temporal process"

It seems the rental is on actual 8 and 16mm film. Luckily also on KG...

And Monty is right about the soundtrack. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's performed by Carrey's character Lloyd Christman from Dumb and Dumber.
