To me, Super felt like two different films. When watching the ending I didn't feel like I was watching the same film as I was ten minutes before.
I have a feeling that the people at Disney that hired James Gunn to direct Guardians of the Galaxy did *not* watch this movie...
This has to be without a doubt one of my favourite movies. The dark humour was spot on and I loved the twisted approach to the comic book genre.
Rainn Wilson was incredible in his role as a geeky middle aged man desperate to win the love of his wife back. The supporting cast was also great, in particular Ellen Page.
If you love the comic book genre and also have a sense of dark humour then this is the movie for you. Also as a member of the LGBT community myself I totally disagree with another user's comment about the film being homophobic. Although the word 'faggot' may have been used, the word is also used in every day life from where I'm from. Rather than it being homophobic I found it to be rather true to how people would respond to a man running around in lycra.
If you enjoy dark humour and violence then I would recommend this movie. However, don't watch it expecting it to be similar to Kick-Ass. Its completely different and a lot more twisted.
to see which of your friends have seen this movie!
