Based on a real murder case, this film is an insightful critique of the ingrained incompetence of the law and order in a country like India, especially the gross inefficiency of the first responders. Situated at the intersection of corruption at fundamental levels and everpresent bureaucracy, this is a great example of the kind of issues India deals with that hinders its growth despite investment in innovation.
What I liked a lot about this film is the series of decisions and strategies the police made, which may seem bizarre to someone watching this film from a Euro-centric or western perspective, but, unfortunately, are quite an accurate representation of the subcontinental experience.
