An audacious piece of filmmaking, shot all on an iPhone 5S on location in Hollywood along Santa Monica Blvd between Fairfax and Vermont Avenues. Doesn't romanticize the life of two trans prostitutes, but doesn't make it out to be all tears either. Worth watching, although if you're close-minded, you're gonna have a bad time.
chryzsh, you obviously live in a nice neighborhood. Those characters were as real as people who live in that area of LA get.
I thought the film was very impressive given how it was filmed and its use of a lot of first time or little known actors. The last 20 minutes were especially good.
I started the film expecting to be well with it ..
After the first few minuets I started to have strong doubts as it seemed to be obnoxious people shouting at every one in an aggressive way ..
But then, subtly, it started to win me back to my opening expectations. Despite the introduction of more seriously obnoxious characters, I learnt to care about them all. Now that is clever film making.
By the time it ended, I just had t go back to the start to view people in the more positive light.
