It is positively a live action, feature length, Saturday morning cartoon as most reviewers have pointed out. The problem is that it isn't really supposed to be. It's arguably more fun than the first installment but it's so dumb, it literally pretends it's audience is just a bunch of kids plopped in front of their television sets. Stephen Amell was wasted as Jones, in fact the character was kind of pointless throughout the entire film. Is he supposed to be a vigilante like the turtles in this universe? It is never explained so he just pokes along as a weird side character to keep Megan Fox company. I miss the old turtles with the robotic mouths more and more after watching the CGI. In true Michael Bay fashion we can look forward to another movie in the future (and another, and another, and...)nowhereman136
This is probably the best possible movie about giant talking turtles who do karate. Seriously, its big, dumb, and fun, like the original show. Is it objectively good, not really, but neither was the tv show. We loved it because it didnt take itself seriously. If you liked the saturday morning cartoon, give this one a chance.7/10

A weak 7/10Cool nonetheless, a little youth-TV but with a good heart and humor in the right places.

Much better than the first but still pretty average, let down alot by the 3rd act.Egil
I found this one to be way more entertaining than the previous one. Always a fan of Rocksteady and Bebop so that was cool. A certain hockey masked friend was more disappointing. Still a enjoyable popcorn flick with less than subtle inspiration from The Avengers.Pete Concrete
It's like a live action version of the saturday morning cartoon. The most fun I've had with a movie in AGES!heat_
So fun to watch, much like the original cartoon.lachyas
Megan Fox seriously has a scene where she disguises herself as a sexy schoolgirl within the first ten minutes. In a kids movie. It's so obnoxiously and objectively shit that it would have to be a self-aware parody... except for the fact that it's in a Michael Bay production.
