This one was not exactly my cup of tea. Sure, some effects were not bad, but nothing really drew me to the story. I remember being somewhat bored in the theater and I didn't ever feel like watching that movie again.
They had their work cut out for them with this film from the get-go, with Arnie being the only carryover from the earlier franchise it makes it harder to relate. Definitely some funny moments which seem out of place, the main highlight for me was seeing Skynet finally flex its muscles after being alluded to for so long. Kristanna Loken tries to channel the otherworldly creepiness and intensity that Patrick brought to the T-1000 role but she doesn't quite get there.
For all the action and special effects, this is a boring sequel that could have used James Cameron's touch. The lead-in to the dark future is interesting, but it's hardly worth the trouble.
