A film that doesn't insult your intelligence and takes nothing for granted. One to be closely watched. Unfortunately, the film seemed to have little to say in the end. Nonetheless, the film garners high marks from me for Clooney's performance, its storytelling, tension and style.
This should at least be in the 2010s list. I do not mind the slow pace, it contributes to the contemplating nature of this film. If it was fast-paced, I'd agree with zombies4ever, saying that it builds up to nothing. With the pace as it is however, it leaves you room to produce your own thoughts and feelings, thus building up to anything you'd like.
I agree as being this a very slow movie, but this stated clearly the loneliness and the constant awareness of an assassin. For some parts I think I need to see the movie again to fully understand what is going on. Good movie, don't go see it when you are tired.
It gives an impression of a darker version of a James Bond movie or borrowing some elements from Munich. Even if it is slow paced, the movie is successful in keeping the viewer engaged till the end,
the journey ends in to a void .. Or perhaps that is what the author wanted to. convey..
I have to disagree with previous comments. Yes, it wasn't a thriller but it was a pretty good drama about loneliness and fruitless attempt to change road chosen long before. I like slow pace movies.
