Disturbing and bleak stuff most of the way, but all the actors just chew up the scenery and make this fascinating watch more enjoyable. The last 5-10 minutes are so audacious, with the intense cinematography, insane music, and really over-the-top acting, it's like a Brian De Palma thriller before they really became a thing. What a strange movie. I thought it was really interesting but really the reactions of the characters are what holds it back. I mean when someone meets Baby aka a 21-year-old man acting like a baby, they would be put off by it at first vs just accepting it. The babysitter, for example, is way too accepting and calm when she is watching Baby. I understand that some people like the social worker would want to understand and try to help the guy and the family acting as they do, but the rest of the people's reactions are super unrealistic. I wish people would be so calm and accepting of others with mental health issues. But overall it was a very weird and interesting movie. With a unique premise. 3 years 8 months ago
