A lighter-than-average noir with lots of comic touches, the highlight being a female painter whose art is connected with a murder. Good fun.

I agree with MrE2Me, Elisa Lanchester who plays the female painter under the name of Louise Paterson is the highlight of the movie. Good movie overall.

Duke of Omnium

Despite a few comic touches (especially Lanchester's turn), possibly the noirest film of them all. Nice.
