Good film with beautiful cinematography but too many inaccuracies.
I liked it, but I thought this one was better:
Such a moving film, filled with an everyday-ness, yet a larger-than-life optimism and hope. It makes the victims of the Nazi regime so real and personal, and it makes the slow advance of the Allies so decidedly needed to their deliverance.
The ending was so terribly poignant. In all the film's sadness, mingled with its humor, its happiness, its love and squabbles, climaxing in an array of such victorious music -- the only word for this film is beautiful.
