Part silent film, part dream you have after eating spoiled sushi. A veritable anthology nesting doll. Does it have poisonous skeleton leotards? Yes. Virgin volcano sacrifices? Check. Instructional videos on how to take a bath? Clearly. A linear storyline? No. I know what you’re thinking. Is this a Canadian film? Obviously. It is the portal to deeper understanding. The Mystery of the Inner Self laid bare. It's a pretty good movie.

Strangest movie I have ever seen, after which "Interstellar", "Holy motors" or "La Antenne" look so childish and easy to understand - it's biggest mindf*ck ever filmed.
I can't comment this movie better than it did Rob Thomas from "Madison Movie": "I'm not saying we should ever stop making movies, but if we do, "The Forbidden Room" should be the last movie. There's like nothing left to do".
