Ten times more disgusting than the first one, which I didn't think was possible. The first one, in keeping in character with its villain, has a sort of clean, clinical atmosphere to it, but the second one is dark, grimy, and full of far more bodily fluids and gore than the first, keeping in character with its disturbed and slightly more child-like villain. Perhaps that's what makes this one slightly more disturbing: the first movie wanted to show how medically possible (if not entirely plausible) it would be to perform this sort of surgery on people, the second delights in showing how horrifying it would be for an untrained amateur to attempt the same thing. And apparently Tom Six wants to make a third... God help us.

The first film had structure; this just rambles on. My main issue is that we have to watch Martin repetitively capture each of his twelve or so victims before things get interesting. And it ain't that interesting.

Incompetantly written, acted and photographed but then once the title operation is completed, it delivers what the first movie promised so you have to give it some props for devotion to its subject. But like Caligula, A Serbian Movie or Salo its one of those movies where you cannot recommend it to anyone with a healthy conscience, but they will watch anyway.

The first movie I thought was well made, very creepy and disturbing. Not the most disturbing movie, Movies like A Serbian Film, Henry the portrait of a Serial Killer and man others were much more disturbing. But it still worked as a horror film and the parts that it implied but didn't show were the most terrifying. This film wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, however, that doesn't mean it was good either. Not really sure what to think of the movie other than where did the find the actor who played Martin. He isn't creepy just weird. They also brought back on the actresses from the first movie to play herself. In the end, the thing that hurt this movie more than the first was that it wasn't very believable. The first film while a crazy story seemed realistic and didn't go too crazy. In this movie, it is impossible to believe that this crazy person would not only know how to knock out people with a crowbar without killing them but do the surgery as well. The black and white didn't help the film at all, more hurt it in my opinion. Also, it took about an hour to get to experiment part. I haven't seen the third yet but honestly, unless you really want the points, you can skip this movie and not miss much. It isn't bad enough to be unwatchable or boring but not good enough to really warrant watching it either. Too bad, I thought after the first movie the direct had thepotential to really make a good horror movie.
