I don't say this often, but I found this film to be something of a disappointment. It seemed to me that when this film was made, they took away everything that gave the novel its impact and spirit, not to mention a lot of the key scenes were missing.

I wouldn't recommend this to people who have read and enjoyed the book. It doesn't come close.
