Being a Canadian, the Band was huge for me. As well Ronnie Hawkins was a staple in Toronto. Robbie Robertson is an aboriginal from nearby Six Nations reserve in Brantford. So growing up with their music was special. The movie just exemplified it for me.
Really technically proficient, the camera work and sound for the concert scenes was really great. The sound for all the interviews though was surprisingly bad. Overall the interviews punctuating the performance were by far the worst part. The Band is not nearly as charming as they obviously think they are. The guest performances during the concert were the highlight.
