Excellent story and theme. One of my very favorites, and I've enjoyed watching it with both of my teenaged sons.

Great special effects, great idea and story... I've seen all three Matrix films and I have to say this one is probably the only one I fully understood :) I especially loved the mysterious atmosphere in the beginning when the hero is still trying to find out what is actually going on.

The plot of this movie is still very unique. I always find it to be very depressing for the most part.

It took me all those years to watch this one, and I never thought that would be this plot, about dream/reality. I'm not really a sci-fi fan, but I sure appreciate the movie and Its impact. Classic huh

This movie's cinematography is very rare. In fact, I've never seen a movie with the special effects and CGI that this one had. Also, loved the whole computer coding theme that it had going on, like I said, I've never seen anything like it!

TalkingElvish: There is a Neuromancer adaptation currently in development and a script exists. Joseph Kahn, the director of Torque, was attached to direct at one point but dropped out for some reason.

the matrix is able to present a good and thought-provoking storyline and deliver great action-packed sequences at the same time.

Unique, nothing like this will ever be created again. The feeling that ran through med at the end scene is one of the best feeling i ever gotten from a film. :3

The only problem I have right now is with that new list "Best films directed by a woman."
This masterpiece happened to get there while technically it was directed by a male at the time.
