Everyone in the cast is a horrible actor; or at least is acting horribly (I'll charitably assume that Hugo Weaving's plodding diction was a deliberate but execrable choice). But even besides the bad acting, the movie has several defects. It seems to take its premise too seriously, and comes off as a bit sententious. And having three "final" battles at the end is excessive.I disliked this on its own merits, but I despise it because so many of its fans seem to think that it's metaphysics, instead of a movie (this may include the Wachowskis).
