there are some so called "american-style" - predictable moments, but still - film was nice and catchingdevilsadvocado
This is a near-perfect choice of film when dealing with an eclectic group of friends who all have different tastes. It's both well-made and accessible enough to please a pretty large part of the film-goer spectrum. An even better choice for such a group would be the French thriller Tell No One.

Good movie.mochiusle
That is just spectacular!rodoss
the second half was quite intense.Eduardo Nasi
The screenplay could benefit of further development. The characters seems more complex than the movie demands, and that creates a gap that is not totally fulfilled in the end.Despite that, it is OK.

I was rather surprised to find I rather enjoyed this film. I find it quite preposterous in many ways but yet it still entertained. I did enjoy that things weren't quite as easy as I initially thought they would be.DisneyStitch
I wasn't sure what to make of this movie until I found out it's an American remake of a French film that was released a few years earlier. That's really the flavor of the movie, it's not terribly flashy and feels like a conglomerate of many other thrillers but in the end manages to be very decent. As with many international remakes, something usually gets lost in translation. I wouldn't be surprised if the original was a more complete movie overall. Crowe and Banks certainly take it seriously enough but there isn't quite enough substance to sink your teeth into. Average, yet entertaining enough.Slylingual24
Might be Elizabeth Banks' best role... but then again, Slither is pretty amazing.danisanna
Pretty good!Torgo
I actually liked the build-up in the first hour and didn't expect things to get so thrilled in the second half. Both parts have their strengths and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the outcome of this movie.Paul Haggis has a knack for the right mix of drama and thriller in a realistic setting. (You should be able to stand some illogical moments when the action sets in, though.)

I love the slow-burning tension! And gosh, Crowe is getting typecasted as the very-good-husband roles in his past few films.martinkopperudandersen
He still can with all the money he gets at the robbery.orzix
@hulsboschBecause he didn't want anybody to notice he was selling all his stuff.
