I saw this and it did entertain me but I expected more from it. I love Jim Carrey and I believe he's got great talent for serious roles as well, but even he could not entirely make up for the things that were missing.
There are some good ideas and sometimes they managed to create a nice atmosphere, it's definately not a bad movie. But after seeing the trailer I just expected even more and greater ideas, more mystery, more suspense and some sort of greater twist at the end. Just one more example of a film on a nice topic that was not used to its full capacity.
This might be the dumbest premise for a movie ever. The idea that anyone smarter than my dachshund would get worked up about a number to the point of homicide is idiotic. (granted, homicide is seldom a really lucid choice, but still).
Good thriller. I love Jim Carrey in his lighthearted role but he's shown he can handle a role with more umpf. He's great in this one too. Great concept and interesting twists.
