This was brilliant. I enjoyed the acting all around and I love seeing this unique portrayal of Somalia and somalians. I personally grew up with many somalians and I got to see them on the big screen so to speak. This film brilliantly deals with misconceptions of “piracy” and tackles the reasons why it takes place - it interestingly explores different perspectives. The tone of the film I’d say leans more to comedy and it seems to have a light hearted nature but at the same time wonderfully gives insight.
